Welcome to the website of the Mackay Youth Information and Referral Service (YIRS). You can find out more about some of our services by using the navigation to the left.

YIRS is the ONE STOP SHOP for all youth needs.

YIRS is designed to remove the barriers that young people face when accessing information in regard to their health and well being and about services available in the community.

There is a lot of information available at YIRS and the staff can organise appointments with other services in the community and refer you to the right destination.

Appointments with a lot of community services can be held at YIRS so save all the hassle of going to places you don't know about.

Referral to Emergency Relief agencies for food vouchers can be organised and crisis accommodation easily sorted out. It really doesn't matter what the issue is YIRS can be your first stop and we can help you from there. Sometimes things seem really bad, just remember there is somewhere that can help you.
